Favorable transportation:
There are Highway No.1 and North –to- south railway crossing
- There is highway No.9 through international Lao Bao Border gate connecting to Laos –Thailand- Myanmar
- Cua Viet Port meets 5000 tons tonnage ships; My Thuy deep water Port will be capable for 100.000 tons tonnage ships
- It is 92 kilometers far from Phu Bai international airport to the south and 107 kilometers to Dong Hoi airport of Quang Binh Province to the north.

Quang Tri lies on the East – West economic corridor (EWEC)
The EWEC is 1,450 kilometers long, crossing 4 nations, starting from Myanmar to Thailand, crossing Laos  to Vietnam through Lao Bao international Border Gate.
- The first point toward the East Sea is Cua Viet Port of Quang Tri Province.
